2 more life birds with missed opportunities for more - 6 Aug 2024

Hiking near the Flume State Park in NH, Andy and I saw at least two new birds. The first was a Black-throated Green Warbler and the other was a Magnolia Warbler. We did not get pictures of either unfortunately. Unfortunately, we also had a bunch of birds we could have counted if we trusted Merlin 100%, but we don't so we avoid counting birds like a supposed Wood Thrush. We heard the Hermit Thrushes but could not distinguish the calls between the two birds.


There were other birds as well but I just couldn't get a good enough look given my birding skills to say with confidence which local birds I saw. All the more reason to get out again. Keep improving and keep getting out into nature to enjoy the discovery.
