Today, the family visited Feast Buffet in Renton for the first time after we saw a funny YouTube video yesterday describing the place. This was the first time we've eaten at a buffett as a family. I really enjoyed joking with Jackson about how much I was going to eat. When he mentioned the time, I replied, "Only an hour to go!" (the buffet had a 2 hour limit). He laughed but made it clear he didn't want to stay another hour.
I also shared to him I was going to eat until I threw up. He found this idea gross and I laughed.
The food as you might expect was mixed. There were some decent dishes like the hot and sour soup. Carrot cake was a big disapointment.
It was funny to see some people with plates of a single item. One plate I saw was overflowing with crawdads. Another was full of snow crab legs. I focused on the diversity and tried as many different items as I could. Though for this first outing I limited my intake on the raw items.
Everyone seemed to really enjoy the experience and we will likely be back in the future, but not for several weeks. I just can't take that much food except on rare occasions.
