Saturday was my first experience with Owling. To be honest, I was a bit underwhelmed. Our guide was talented, but the owls defintely were not in the mood to be seen. It was dark. We heard faint calls of birds in the distance. None came close. Of course, I know how much birding is a matter of luck. As an early riser though, I prefer to test my luck in the mornings while the sun is shining and there is a chance of seeing the birds.


I will of course explore more Owling experiences in the future. There is no other way to add Owls to my life list, at least some Owls. I would need extraordinary luck to be able to find all the owls in the day.
