Took a short trip today to Veazie Marsh which essentially is a spot on the side of the road overlooking flooded fields. It can be a good spot for shorebirds. I hoped to find some Western Sandpipers or the Lesser Yellowlegs which was reported yesterday without luck. Did get some good looks at some Dowitchers and a Wilson's Snipe. Not the most enjoyable place to go bird. Cars and Trucks frequently pass by creating a lot of noise and a rush of wind. I tried using my scope from within my Van for ther first time which worked well, but when larger vehicles passed by it shook the van and I had to refocus the scope.

Summer Wrap Up

Summer vacation and my 2 month break from work came to an end this week. I can't say it has been a smooth transition for them or myself....
